ABOUT US
After many years of interest in photography, Karel and Erica started Karleri
Photography in 1992.
Karel’s interest in
documentary photography has resulted in an exhibitions at the Bruce Mason
Centre entitled “The North Shore on
the Cusp of the Millennium” and one at the Auckland War
Memorial Museum and Russell Museum, “Pompallier,
Te Hokinga Mai, - The Journey Home.” This was a collection
of over a hundred images about the Pilgrimage to return the remains of Bishop
Pompallier
to New Zealand.
Karel is interested in documenting families and ensuring there are long lasting
portraits available for future generations to enjoy. He has written on
the subject for New Zealand and Australian Genealogy magazines. He has kept
abreast
of the developments in the move from film-based to digital photography.
Karel has won a number of gold and silver awards for portraiture in the
Kodak Gold awards.
